Birth Doula
Birthing babies is one of the last instinctual processes we have left as humans.
There is a very clear reason why we hear the words 'Transformation' and 'Birth' in the same sentence time and time again; it changes us.
The birth of a family is the entry-way for expansion and growth. Mothers and fathers are born themselves, and each birth is different from the next. Every birth is a unique and individual experience.
There is beauty in celebrating the change that comes with this process.
My mission is to connect you to yourself, to your intuition, and to your baby. This journey isn’t solely about your new arrival, but also about your mental, emotional, physical, spiritual and sexual experiences within it.
Through my support, you gain a witness and a guide, so that you can rest in your decisions and recognize the power and wisdom that you already possess, as a birthing person and as a family.
Our time together includes:
a minimum of 2 Prenatal Sessions lasting about 2-3 hours each.
We will discuss the ins and outs of what it means to tune into your body, as well as understanding the process of pregnancy, labour and birth.
We will pay special attention to your values as well as how they traverse from the 1st through the sacred 4th Trimester.
Integrating openness to any fear or worries as they arise, and leaning in to understand their signals.
Understanding what an undisturbed physiological birth can look like, and how your individual values can connect with your options.
Tapping into your body & baby wisdom
If you have a partner, all of this preparation is for them too.
I will follow you through your pregnancy and your birth, weaving my way through attending to your own needs as well your family’s.
Consider me your confident, here to support whatever your changing circumstances may be. After your little one has arrived, I stay with you and your family a few hours to make sure you are settled, fed and ready to rest. I will be in touch within the first 12-24 hours to arrange a Postpartum visit following your birth, at a time that is convenient for you. We can discuss your birthing process, any questions that may arise, and I can continue to nurture you and the nest you have created for your family, however best its suits your needs.
